Description
Human CENPC Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human CENPC Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Gly819-Arg943, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 16.75 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Centromere protein C is a ~106 kDa protein. Component of the CENPA-NAC (nucleosome-associated) complex, a complex that plays a central role in assembly of kinetochore proteins, mitotic progression and chromosome segregation. For research use only.
The CENPA-NAC complex recruits the CENPA-CAD (nucleosome distal) complex and may be involved in incorporation of newly synthesized CENPA into centromeres. CENPC recruits DNA methylation and DNMT3B to both centromeric and pericentromeric satellite repeats and regulates the histone code in these regions.
