Human CHAD Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Cys23-His359, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 40.55 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Chondroadherin is a ~40 kDa protein. Promotes attachment of chondrocytes, fibroblasts, and osteoblasts. For research use only.
This binding is mediated (at least for chondrocytes and fibroblasts) by the integrin alpha(2)beta(1). May play an important role in the regulation of chondrocyte growth and proliferation.
