Description
Human CHAF1B Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human CHAF1B Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Lys377, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 44.28 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Chromatin assembly factor 1 subunit B is a ~61 kDa protein. Acts as a component of the histone chaperone complex chromatin assembly factor 1 (CAF-1), which assembles histone octamers onto DNA during replication and repair. For research use only.
CAF-1 performs the first step of the nucleosome assembly process, bringing newly synthesized histones H3 and H4 to replicating DNA; histones H2A/H2B can bind to this chromatin precursor subsequent to DNA replication to complete the histone octamer.
