Description
Human CHKA Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human CHKA Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Asp138-Leu376, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 30.46 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Choline kinase alpha (CHKA) is a ~52 kDa protein. Plays a key role in phospholipid biosynthesis by catalyzing the phosphorylation of free choline to phosphocholine, the first step in phosphatidylcholine biosynthesis. For research use only.
Also phosphorylates ethanolamine, thereby contributing to phosphatidylethanolamine biosynthesis. Has higher activity with choline. May contribute to tumor cell growth.
