Description
Human CHM Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human CHM Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Thr216-Pro600, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 46.59 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Rab proteins geranylgeranyltransferase component A 1 is a ~73 kDa protein. Substrate-binding subunit of the Rab geranylgeranyltransferase (GGTase) complex. For research use only.
Binds unprenylated Rab proteins and presents the substrate peptide to the catalytic component B composed of RABGGTA and RABGGTB, and remains bound to it after the geranylgeranyl transfer reaction. The component A is thought to be regenerated by transferring its prenylated Rab back to the donor membrane. Besides, a pre-formed complex consisting of CHM and the Rab GGTase dimer (RGGT or component B) can bind to and prenylate Rab proteins; this alternative pathway is proposed to be the predominant pathway for Rab protein geranylgeranylation.
