Description
Human CLIC2 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human CLIC2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Asp53-Ser247, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 24.94 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Chloride intracellular channel protein 2 is a ~28 kDa protein. In the soluble state, catalyzes glutaredoxin-like thiol disulfide exchange reactions with reduced glutathione as electron donor. For research use only.
Displays weak glutathione peroxidase activity (Probable). Can insert into membranes and form chloride ion channels. Membrane insertion seems to be redox-regulated and may occur only under oxidizing conditions. Modulates the activity of RYR2 and inhibits calcium influx.
