Description
Human CLU Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human CLU Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser228-Glu449, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 28.18 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Clusterin (APOJ/SP-40) is a ~52 kDa protein. Functions as extracellular chaperone that prevents aggregation of non native proteins. For research use only.
Prevents stress-induced aggregation of blood plasma proteins. Inhibits formation of amyloid fibrils by APP, APOC2, B2M, CALCA, CSN3, SNCA and aggregation-prone LYZ variants (in vitro). Does not require ATP. Maintains partially unfolded proteins in a state appropriate for subsequent refolding by other chaperones, such as HSPA8/HSC70.
