Description
Human CNDP2 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human CNDP2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Asp475, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 55.04 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Cytosolic non-specific dipeptidase (CNDP2) is a ~52 kDa protein. Catalyzes the peptide bond hydrolysis in dipeptides, displaying a non-redundant activity toward threonyl dipeptides. For research use only.
Mediates threonyl dipeptide catabolism in a tissue-specific way. Has high dipeptidase activity toward cysteinylglycine, an intermediate metabolite in glutathione metabolism. Metabolizes N-lactoyl-amino acids, both through hydrolysis to form lactic acid and amino acids, as well as through their formation by reverse proteolysis. Plays a role in the regulation of cell cycle arrest and apoptosis.
