Description
Human CNMD Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human CNMD Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Lys134-Val334, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 25.16 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Leukocyte cell-derived chemotaxin 1 (CNMD) is a ~37 kDa protein. Bifunctional growth regulator that stimulates the growth of cultured chondrocytes in the presence of basic fibroblast growth factor (FGF) but inhibits the growth of cultured vascular endothelial cells. For research use only.
May contribute to the rapid growth of cartilage and vascular invasion prior to the replacement of cartilage by bone during endochondral bone development. Inhibits in vitro tube formation and mobilization of endothelial cells. Plays a role as antiangiogenic factor in cardiac valves to suppress neovascularization.
