Human CPM Recombinant Protein (C-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in mammalian cells, spanning Met1-Ser423, with a C-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 49.21 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Carboxypeptidase M is a ~50 kDa protein. Specifically removes C-terminal basic residues (Arg or Lys) from peptides and proteins. For research use only.
It is believed to play important roles in the control of peptide hormone and growth factor activity at the cell surface, and in the membrane-localized degradation of extracellular proteins.
