Human CREBBP Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human CREBBP Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Thr1331-Glu1576, with an N-terminal His tag. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. CREB-binding protein is a ~265 kDa protein. Acetylates histones, giving a specific tag for transcriptional activation. For research use only.
Mediates acetylation of histone H3 at 'Lys-18' and 'Lys-27' (H3K18ac and H3K27ac, respectively). Also acetylates non-histone proteins, like DDX21, FBL, IRF2, MAFG, NCOA3, POLR1E/PAF53 and FOXO1. Binds specifically to phosphorylated CREB and enhances its transcriptional activity toward cAMP-responsive genes. Acts as a coactivator of ALX1.
