Human CST1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human CST1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Trp21-Ser141, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 16.61 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Cystatin-SN is a ~16 kDa protein. Human saliva appears to contain several cysteine proteinase inhibitors that are immunologically related to cystatin S but that differ in their specificity due to amino acid sequence differences. For research use only.
Cystatin SN, with a pI of 7.5, is a much better inhibitor of papain and dipeptidyl peptidase I than is cystatin S, although both inhibit ficin equally well.
