Description
Human CTGF/CCN2 Recombinant Protein (C-His)
Human CTGF/CCN2 Recombinant Protein (C-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in mammalian cells, spanning Met1-Ala349, with a C-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 39.06 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. CCN family member 2 (CTGF/CCN2) is a ~38 kDa protein. Major connective tissue mitoattractant secreted by vascular endothelial cells. For research use only.
Promotes proliferation and differentiation of chondrocytes. Is involved in the stimulation of osteoblast differentiation and has a critical role in osteogenesis. Mediates heparin- and divalent cation-dependent cell adhesion in many cell types including fibroblasts, myofibroblasts, endothelial and epithelial cells. Enhances fibroblast growth factor-induced DNA synthesis.
