Description
Human DDX1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human DDX1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Gln72-Leu283, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 25.80 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. ATP-dependent RNA helicase DDX1 is a ~82 kDa protein. Acts as an ATP-dependent RNA helicase, able to unwind both RNA-RNA and RNA-DNA duplexes. For research use only.
Possesses 5' single-stranded RNA overhang nuclease activity. Possesses ATPase activity on various RNA, but not DNA polynucleotides. May play a role in RNA clearance at DNA double-strand breaks (DSBs), thereby facilitating the template-guided repair of transcriptionally active regions of the genome. Together with RELA, acts as a coactivator to enhance NF-kappa-B-mediated transcriptional activation.
