Description

Human DPP10 ELISA Kit

Human DPP10 ELISA kits are used to detect Dipeptidyl Peptidase 10 (DPP10) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological samples. DPP10, or dipeptidyl peptidase 10, is a member of the dipeptidyl peptidase IV family that has lost its catalytic activity, because it lacks the key active-site serine, and so does not work as an aminopeptidase. Instead it acts as an auxiliary subunit of the Kv4 potassium channels, where it promotes surface expression of KCND2 and changes the gating properties of the channel, accelerating its activation and inactivation. It is expressed mainly in the brain, particularly in neurons of the cerebellum, hippocampus and cortex, as well as in the pancreas and other tissues. It thereby influences neuronal excitability. Variants in DPP10 have been associated with asthma susceptibility and, in genetic studies, with neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric conditions.
