Human EIF4G2 Recombinant Protein (N-GST & C-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser540-Asp907, with an N-terminal GST tag and a C-terminal His tag. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4 gamma 2 is a ~102 kDa protein. Appears to play a role in the switch from cap-dependent to IRES-mediated translation during mitosis, apoptosis and viral infection. For research use only.
