Description
Human EMD Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human EMD Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser66-Asn252, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 23.56 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Emerin (EMD) is a ~28 kDa protein. Stabilizes and promotes the formation of a nuclear actin cortical network. For research use only.
Stimulates actin polymerization in vitro by binding and stabilizing the pointed end of growing filaments. Inhibits beta-catenin activity by preventing its accumulation in the nucleus. Acts by influencing the nuclear accumulation of beta-catenin through a CRM1-dependent export pathway. Links centrosomes to the nuclear envelope via a microtubule association.
