Description
Human EMX2 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human EMX2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Asp115-Asp252, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 18.65 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Homeobox protein EMX2 is a ~28 kDa protein. Transcription factor, which in cooperation with EMX1, acts to generate the boundary between the roof and archipallium in the developing brain. For research use only.
May function in combination with OTX1/2 to specify cell fates in the developing central nervous system. In the inner ear, it controls the distribution of GPR156 at hair cell boundaries, and regulates the organization of stereociliary bundles in opposite orientations across the line of polarity reversal (LPR).
