Description
Human ESPN Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human ESPN Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Ala343, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 38.73 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Espin is a ~91 kDa protein. Multifunctional actin-bundling protein. For research use only.
Plays a major role in regulating the organization, dimension, dynamics and signaling capacities of the actin filament-rich microvilli in the mechanosensory and chemosensory cells. Required for the assembly and stabilization of the stereociliary parallel actin bundles. Plays a crucial role in the formation and maintenance of inner ear hair cell stereocilia. Involved in the elongation of actin in stereocilia.
