Description
Human FAAH2 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human FAAH2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Gly32-Phe532, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 57.29 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Fatty-acid amide hydrolase 2 is a ~58 kDa protein. Catalyzes the hydrolysis of endogenous amidated lipids like the sleep-inducing lipid oleamide ((9Z)-octadecenamide), the endocannabinoid anandamide (N-(5Z,8Z,11Z,14Z-eicosatetraenoyl)-ethanolamine), as well as other fatty amides, to their corresponding fatty acids, thereby regulating the signaling functions of these molecules. For research use only.
Hydrolyzes monounsaturated substrate anandamide preferentially as compared to polyunsaturated substrates.
