Description
Human GABARAPL2 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human GABARAPL2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Phe117, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 15.81 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Gamma-aminobutyric acid receptor-associated protein-like 2 (GABARAPL2) is a ~13 kDa protein. Ubiquitin-like modifier involved in intra-Golgi traffic. For research use only.
Modulates intra-Golgi transport through coupling between NSF activity and SNAREs activation. It first stimulates the ATPase activity of NSF which in turn stimulates the association with GOSR1. Involved in autophagy. Plays a role in mitophagy which contributes to regulate mitochondrial quantity and quality by eliminating the mitochondria to a basal level to fulfill cellular energy requirements and preventing excess ROS production.
