Description
Human GDF3 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human GDF3 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ala251-Gly364, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 15.2 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Growth/differentiation factor 3 (GDF3) is a ~41 kDa protein. Growth factor involved in early embryonic development and adipose-tissue homeostasis. For research use only.
During embryogenesis controls formation of anterior visceral endoderm and mesoderm and the establishment of anterior-posterior identity through a receptor complex comprising the receptor ACVR1B and the coreceptor CRIPTO. Regulates adipose-tissue homeostasis and energy balance under nutrient overload in part by signaling through the receptor complex based on ACVR1C and CRIPTO/Cripto.
