Description
Human GHSR Recombinant Protein (N-GST)
Human GHSR Recombinant Protein (N-GST) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Arg70, with an N-terminal GST tag. Predicted molecular weight: 34.15 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Growth hormone secretagogue receptor type 1 (GHSR) is a ~41 kDa protein. G-protein-coupled receptor specific to ghrelin, an appetite-regulating peptide hormone commonly found in stomach. For research use only.
Upon activation, stimulates appetite and promotes growth hormone secretion. Also binds other growth hormone releasing peptides (GHRP) (e.g. Met-enkephalin and GHRP-6) as well as non-peptide, low molecular weight secretagogues (e.g. L-692, 429, MK-0677, adenosine).
