Description
Human GLDC Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human GLDC Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Thr81-Asp268, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 23.49 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Glycine dehydrogenase (decarboxylating), mitochondrial (GLDC) is a ~112 kDa protein. The glycine cleavage system catalyzes the degradation of glycine. For research use only.
The P protein (GLDC) binds the alpha-amino group of glycine through its pyridoxal phosphate cofactor; CO(2) is released and the remaining methylamine moiety is then transferred to the lipoamide cofactor of the H protein (GCSH).
