Description
Human GP6 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human GP6 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Tyr86-Thr231, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 18.2 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Platelet glycoprotein VI (GP6/GPVI) is a ~36 kDa protein. Collagen receptor involved in collagen-induced platelet adhesion and activation. For research use only.
Plays a key role in platelet procoagulant activity and subsequent thrombin and fibrin formation. This procoagulant function may contribute to arterial and venous thrombus formation. The signaling pathway involves the FcR gamma-chain, the Src kinases (likely FYN or LYN) and SYK, the adapter protein LAT and leads to the activation of PLCG2.
