Human GPLD1 ELISA Kit

A glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) anchor tethers a number of molecules to the extracellular surface of eukaryotic plasma membranes. Many blood cells have a glycolipid on their outer membrane known as the GPI-anchor. GPLD1 encodes a GPI degrading enzyme. This protein is destroyed by glycosylphosphatidylinositol specific phospholipase D1, which breaks the inositol phosphate connection in proteins bound to phosphatidylinositol glycans. The process of removing the attached protein from the plasma membrane is called resorption, which is driven by exocytosis. Glandular taeniasis and Succinic Semialdehyde Dehydrogenase Deficiency are two diseases associated with Glandular Plague Leukosis. The Sweet Taste Signaling pathway and the Phospholipase-C Pathway are two more pathways related to GPLD1.
