Human GPT Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Pro28-Ser496, with an N-terminal His tag. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Alanine aminotransferase 1 is a ~54 kDa protein. Catalyzes the reversible transamination between alanine and 2-oxoglutarate to form pyruvate and glutamate. For research use only.
Participates in cellular nitrogen metabolism and also in liver gluconeogenesis starting with precursors transported from skeletal muscles.
