Description
Human GREM1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human GREM1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Lys26-Asp184, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 20.45 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Gremlin-1 (GREM1/DAND2) is a ~20 kDa protein. Cytokine that may play an important role during carcinogenesis and metanephric kidney organogenesis, as a BMP antagonist required for early limb outgrowth and patterning in maintaining the FGF4-SHH feedback loop. For research use only.
Down-regulates the BMP4 signaling in a dose-dependent manner. Antagonist of BMP2; inhibits BMP2-mediated differentiation of osteoblasts (in vitro). Acts as inhibitor of monocyte chemotaxis. Can inhibit the growth or viability of normal cells but not transformed cells when is overexpressed.
