Human GUCY2D Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human GUCY2D Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ala52-Pro453, with an N-terminal His tag. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Retinal guanylyl cyclase 1 is a ~120 kDa protein. Catalyzes the synthesis of cyclic GMP (cGMP) in rods and cones of photoreceptors. For research use only.
Plays an essential role in phototransduction, by mediating cGMP replenishment. May also participate in the trafficking of membrane-associated proteins to the photoreceptor outer segment membrane.
