Human HAND2 Recombinant Protein (N-His-KSI)

Human HAND2 Recombinant Protein (N-His-KSI) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Ser2-Gln217, with an N-terminal His-KSI tag. Predicted molecular weight: 39.30 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Heart- and neural crest derivatives-expressed protein 2 is a ~23 kDa protein. Essential for cardiac morphogenesis, particularly for the formation of the right ventricle and of the aortic arch arteries. For research use only.

Required for vascular development and regulation of angiogenesis, possibly through a VEGF signaling pathway. Also plays an important role in limb development, particularly in the establishment of anterior-posterior polarization, acting as an upstream regulator of sonic hedgehog (SHH) induction in the limb bud. Is involved in the development of branchial arches, which give rise to unique structures in the head and neck. Binds DNA on E-box consensus sequence 5'-CANNTG-3'.
