Description
Human HPGDS Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human HPGDS Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Leu199, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 25.51 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Hematopoietic prostaglandin D synthase (HPGDS) is a ~23 kDa protein. Bifunctional enzyme which catalyzes both the conversion of PGH2 to PGD2, a prostaglandin involved in smooth muscle contraction/relaxation and a potent inhibitor of platelet aggregation, and the conjugation of glutathione with a wide range of aryl halides and organic isothiocyanates. For research use only.
Also exhibits low glutathione-peroxidase activity towards cumene hydroperoxide.
