Human HSF2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Arg122, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 16.57 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Heat shock factor protein 2 is a ~60 kDa protein. DNA-binding protein that specifically binds heat shock promoter elements (HSE) and activates transcription. For research use only.
In higher eukaryotes, HSF is unable to bind to the HSE unless the cells are heat shocked.
