Description
Human IFT81 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human IFT81 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Lys124, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 16.59 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Intraflagellar transport protein 81 homolog (IFT81) is a ~79 kDa protein. Component of the intraflagellar transport (IFT) complex B: together with IFT74, forms a tubulin-binding module that specifically mediates transport of tubulin within the cilium. For research use only.
Binds tubulin via its CH (calponin-homology)-like region. Required for ciliogenesis. Required for proper regulation of SHH signaling. Plays an important role during spermatogenesis by modulating the assembly and elongation of the sperm flagella.
