Description

Human IL7R ELISA Kit

Human IL7R ELISA kits are used to detect Interleukin 7 Receptor (IL7R) in serum, plasma and other biological samples. IL7R, the interleukin-7 receptor alpha chain also known as CD127, is expressed on developing and mature T cells, B cell precursors, innate lymphoid cells and some myeloid cells. Combined with the common gamma chain it forms the receptor for interleukin-7, a cytokine essential for T cell development, survival and homeostasis, and it also pairs with CRLF2 to form the receptor for thymic stromal lymphopoietin. Signalling proceeds through JAK1, JAK3 and STAT5, supporting lymphocyte survival and proliferation. Loss-of-function variants cause a form of severe combined immunodeficiency lacking T cells, while gain-of-function mutations are found in acute lymphoblastic leukaemia and variants are linked to multiple sclerosis risk.
