Human IMPDH2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Asp226-Phe514, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 33.4 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Inosine-5'-monophosphate dehydrogenase 2 (IMPDH2) is a ~55 kDa protein. Catalyzes the conversion of inosine 5'-phosphate (IMP) to xanthosine 5'-phosphate (XMP), the first committed and rate-limiting step in the de novo synthesis of guanine nucleotides, and therefore plays an important role in the regulation of cell growth.
