Human JPH3/JP-3 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Ser147, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 18.04 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Junctophilin-3 (JPH3/JP-3) is a ~81 kDa protein. Junctophilins contribute to the formation of junctional membrane complexes (JMCs) which link the plasma membrane with the endoplasmic or sarcoplasmic reticulum in excitable cells. Provides a structural foundation for functional cross-talk between the cell surface and intracellular calcium release channels. JPH3 is brain-specific and appears to have an active role in certain neurons involved in motor coordination and memory.
