Human KLB/Beta-klotho Antibody (MK-3655) is a research-grade biosimilar monoclonal antibody targeting Klotho beta-like protein. It is a mouse IgG2a-kappa antibody. Reactivity: Human. Supplied as a liquid in 0.01M PBS pH 7.4. Applications: ELISA, flow cytometry, functional assays and in vivo research. Endotoxin: < 10 EU/mg. Purity: >95% purity as determined by SDS-PAGE. For research use only.
Beta-klotho (KLB) is a ~119 kDa protein. Contributes to the transcriptional repression of cholesterol 7-alpha-hydroxylase (CYP7A1), the rate-limiting enzyme in bile acid synthesis. Probably inactive as a glycosidase. Increases the ability of FGFR1 and FGFR4 to bind FGF21.
