Human LAMA3 ELISA Kit

LAMA3 encodes a member of the laminin family of secreted proteins. Laminins are heterotrimeric molecules made up of alpha, beta, and gamma subunits that assemble together via a coiled-coil domain. Laminins are required for basement membrane development and function, and other cellular functions including cell migration and signal transduction. The alpha subunit of this protein is encoded by LAMA3. Several epithelial-mesenchymal regulators, including keratinocyte growth factor, epidermal growth factor, and insulin-like growth factor, are responsive to it. Herlitz type junctional epidermolysis bullosa and laryngoonychocutaneous syndrome are two conditions caused by mutations in LAMA3. Laryngoonychocutaneous Syndrome and Epidermolysis Bullosa are two examples of LAMA3-linked diseases. Epidermolysis Bullosa is a type of junctional epidermolysis bullosa.
