Description
Human LDLR Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human LDLR Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Thr497-Thr742, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 29.53 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Low-density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) is a ~95 kDa protein. Binds low density lipoprotein /LDL, the major cholesterol-carrying lipoprotein of plasma, and transports it into cells by endocytosis. For research use only.
In order to be internalized, the receptor-ligand complexes must first cluster into clathrin-coated pits. Forms a ternary complex with PGRMC1 and TMEM97 receptors which increases LDLR-mediated LDL internalization.
