Description
Human LETMD1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human LETMD1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Pro162-Asn347, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 23.69 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. LETM1 domain-containing protein 1 (LETMD1) is a ~41 kDa protein. Plays an essential role for mitochondrial structure and function, as well as thermogenesis of brown adipocytes. For research use only.
In brown adipose tissue also localizes in the nucleus where it interacts with the chromatin remodeler SMARCA4 to regulate thermogenic genes expression, such as UCP1. May regulate phagocytosis and inflammatory responses to lipopolysaccharide in macrophages. Involved in tumorigenesis and may function as a negative regulator of the p53/TP53.
