Description
Human LIPN Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human LIPN Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Gly19-Ser398, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 45.85 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Lipase member N is a ~45 kDa protein. Plays a highly specific role in the last step of keratinocyte differentiation. For research use only.
Contains two distinct domains: the alpha/beta hydrolase fold and the abhydrolase-associated lipase region, also features the consensus sequence of the active site of a genuine lipase. May have an essential function in lipid metabolism of the most differentiated epidermal layers.
