Description
Human MARK2 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human MARK2 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Gly51-Ser366, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 38.75 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Serine/threonine-protein kinase MARK2 is a ~87 kDa protein. Serine/threonine-protein kinase. For research use only.
Involved in cell polarity and microtubule dynamics regulation. Phosphorylates CRTC2/TORC2, DCX, HDAC7, KIF13B, MAP2, MAP4 and RAB11FIP2. Phosphorylates the microtubule-associated protein MAPT/TAU. Plays a key role in cell polarity by phosphorylating the microtubule-associated proteins MAP2, MAP4 and MAPT/TAU at KXGS motifs, causing detachment from microtubules, and their disassembly.
