Description
Human MARK4 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human MARK4 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Gly57-Lys370, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 38.41 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. MAP/microtubule affinity-regulating kinase 4 (MARK4) is a ~82 kDa protein. Serine/threonine-protein kinase. For research use only.
Phosphorylates the microtubule-associated protein MAPT/TAU. Also phosphorylates the microtubule-associated proteins MAP2 and MAP4. Involved in regulation of the microtubule network, causing reorganization of microtubules into bundles. Required for the initiation of axoneme extension during cilium assembly.
