Description
Human MECOM Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human MECOM Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Pro75-Cys232, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 20.61 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Histone-lysine N-methyltransferase MECOM is a ~138 kDa protein. Functions as a transcriptional regulator binding to DNA sequences in the promoter region of target genes and regulating positively or negatively their expression. For research use only.
Oncogene which plays a role in development, cell proliferation and differentiation. May also play a role in apoptosis through regulation of the JNK and TGF-beta signaling. Involved in hematopoiesis.
