Description
Human MMP1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human MMP1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Phe20-Asn469, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 54.14 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Interstitial collagenase (MMP1) is a ~54 kDa protein. Cleaves collagens of types I, II, and III at one site in the helical domain. For research use only.
Also cleaves collagens of types VII and X. In case of HIV infection, interacts and cleaves the secreted viral Tat protein, leading to a decrease in neuronal Tat's mediated neurotoxicity.
