Human MTA3 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Lys147, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 19.22 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Metastasis-associated protein MTA3 is a ~67 kDa protein. Acts as a component of the histone deacetylase NuRD complex which participates in the remodeling of chromatin. For research use only.
Plays a role in maintenance of the normal epithelial architecture through the repression of SNAI1 transcription in a histone deacetylase-dependent manner, and thus the regulation of E-cadherin levels. Contributes to transcriptional repression by BCL6.
