Description
Human MUC5AC Recombinant Protein (N-His-SUMO)
Human MUC5AC Recombinant Protein (N-His-SUMO) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Tyr5568-His5654, with an N-terminal His-SUMO tag. Predicted molecular weight: 21.97 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Mucin-5AC (MUC5AC) is a ~585 kDa protein. Gel-forming glycoprotein of gastric and respiratory tract epithelia that protects the mucosa from infection and chemical damage by binding to inhaled microorganisms and particles that are subsequently removed by the mucociliary system. For research use only.
Interacts with H.pylori in the gastric epithelium, Barrett's esophagus as well as in gastric metaplasia of the duodenum (GMD).
