Description
Human MYO7A Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human MYO7A Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met850-Asn1150, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 36.95 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Unconventional myosin-VIIa (MYO7A) is a ~254 kDa protein. Myosins are actin-based motor molecules with ATPase activity. For research use only.
Unconventional myosins serve in intracellular movements. Their highly divergent tails bind to membranous compartments, which are then moved relative to actin filaments. In the retina, plays an important role in the renewal of the outer photoreceptor disks. Plays an important role in the distribution and migration of retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) melanosomes and phagosomes, and in the regulation of opsin transport in retinal photoreceptors.
