Human MYOCD Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human MYOCD Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Gly139, with an N-terminal His tag. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Myocardin is a ~101 kDa protein. Smooth muscle cells (SM) and cardiac muscle cells-specific transcriptional factor which uses the canonical single or multiple CArG boxes DNA sequence. For research use only.
Acts as a cofactor of serum response factor (SRF) with the potential to modulate SRF-target genes. Plays a crucial role in cardiogenesis, urinary bladder development, and differentiation of the smooth muscle cell lineage (myogenesis). Positively regulates the transcription of genes involved in vascular smooth muscle contraction.
