Description
Human MYOD1 Recombinant Protein (N-His)
Human MYOD1 Recombinant Protein (N-His) is a recombinant protein expressed in E. coli, spanning Met1-Leu320, with an N-terminal His tag. Predicted molecular weight: 36.66 kDa. Purity: >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE. Supplied lyophilized from a solution in PBS pH 7.4, 0.02% NLS, 1 mM EDTA, 4% Trehalose, 1% Mannitol. Applications: ELISA, immunogen, SDS-PAGE and Western blot. Myoblast determination protein 1 (MYOD1) is a ~34 kDa protein. Acts as a transcriptional activator that promotes transcription of muscle-specific target genes and plays a role in muscle differentiation. For research use only.
Together with MYF5 and MYOG, co-occupies muscle-specific gene promoter core region during myogenesis. Induces fibroblasts to differentiate into myoblasts. Interacts with and is inhibited by the twist protein. This interaction probably involves the basic domains of both proteins.
